These porcelain sculptures explore the juxtaposition of material and symbolism while challenging the conventions of what an Anvil Award can be. Inspired by this year’s theme, Artificial Intelligence, every Anvil was individually conceived and crafted to embody the uncanny and unexpected nature of AI generative art. The construction of the anvils begin with a simple slip-cast form, then manipulated by carving material away and adding new shapes. Playful yet deliberate, every trophy has its own narrative within the context of our industry as it evolves alongside technology. This series is a reflection of the work it celebrates - a tangible expression of the recognition earned through careers dedicated to the craft of advertising. They invite us to reconsider preconceived notions, challenge the status quo, and embrace the limitless possibilities that lie at the intersection of creativity and communication.
